The Blossom Wonder is an interactive art installation designed for the Qi Xiu Hotel. Based on the concept of "Flower Cultivation," it uses digital art to express the natural energy of plants and showcases the vitality of flowers. It introduces new intelligent ecology into traditional gardens.
People only need to stroll in front of the flowers and engage in energy exchange with the Seven-Color Flower. In that moment of blooming, they can experience a sense of health and healing, achieving a state of balanced and harmonious mindset.
Energy From Flowers
Drawing inspiration from the overall form of flowers, this design utilizes the characteristics of ultra-high-definition flexible LED screens. By employing parametric modeling, it breaks free from the constraints of traditional display screen shapes, creating dynamic and rhythmic curved arcs. This enables greater flexibility and diversity in presenting content. Combined with a panoramic surround sound system and natural healing audio effects, it creates a multidimensional, multisensory artistic, and therapeutic environment for users.
Narrative Space
Influenced by the environment, different visual content will be generated on the screen in real time under different temperatures, humidity, sunshine, and other conditions, presenting unexpected colors and textures.
After the visitor finishes interacting with the installation, the flower belonging to the visitor will bloom and fill the whole screen. There are infinite possibilities for the way flowers grow depending on people.
Interactive Design
After guests complete their personal health assessment in the hotel's wellness area, a personalized flower design will be generated on their mobile devices based on their health condition. When they arrive at the Blossom Wonder installation, they can align the flower pattern on their phones with the sensor, which will activate the Blossom Wonder. The guest's individual flower will then appear in the center of the screen, gracefully unfurling and blossoming, reflecting the guest's current state of mind and providing them with a unique healing experience.
We selected seven kinds of flowers in the concept of "flower cultivation" (rose, orange osmanthus, daylily, china aster, morning glory, blue leadwort, purple vine) as the media of artistic expression. Different flowers reflect different emotions and health states of people.
