Terrestrial Aquatic

It is a real-time audiovisual performance system designed for an Omakase cuisine restaurant. We aim to extract visual elements and essence from Japanese culinary culture to create a visual system that evolves over time, influenced by data, and never repeats itself, seamlessly integrating with nature.

The visual content is divided into two modes, "Terrestrial" and "Aquatic," based on the time of day, representing the stability and refinement of daytime and the softness and variability of nighttime. Along the linear timeline, it transitions between different emotional changes of time through color tones, forming a system that complements and interacts with the environment.

Terrestrial mode presents the solid textures of the natural earth, simulating metallic surfaces, deserts, rock formations, mountains, and other solid textures.

Aquatic mode presents cascading colors that flow, resembling murmuring water, floating silk, or glistening golden splendor.
